| oh give me a break. pop culture has sucked forever and always will suck. oh noes, people like free advertising? email didn't even practically exist ten years ago, but we still got plenty of crap in our mailbox. and if frivolous lawsuits (which RARELY win) are the worst thing you have to worry about, jesus christ, be happy. we could be under a thought-controlling dictator or some crap, or live in utter poverty, or under the constant threat of nuclear annihilation. i'm not sure emails about dick enlargements qualify as a comparison, and reality tv... christ, tv has always sucked, man. who gives a fuck about reality tv. first of all, its not THAT bad, and second of all it'll be forgotten just like all the other crappy pop culture in history has been forgotten which is why you romantic conservatives like to believe the past was always better instead of worse. 09/03/2003-3:45am | ||
| my poll was referring to things like stupid reality shows, bad music all over the place, spam taking over more than 50% of e-mail, the RIAA sueing people over word documents that mention a famous singer, most major comapnies exporting every job they possibly can. I mean sure we can try and ignore the bad aspects of pop culture as best we can, but is all this a sign that generations to come will all be annoying people whose word means nothing, who listen to manufactured music, send you chain letters, and would sue you at the drop of the hat? 09/02/2003-10:32pm | ||
