| The point the article was trying to make was that linux has ended up competing with apple in the market of microsoft alternatives. While it doesn't have the ease of use apple has, linux has a huge cost advantage. This obviously isn't going to bury apple as "sticking it to bill gates" isn't the only reason people buy macs, but it may cut into their sales the more friendly linux gets. -ryan 06/24/2003-12:41pm | ||

| whether or not Linux exceeds Apple in total consumer market share (very unlikely), it will never harm them. They're after a very different customer, and Linux developments end up greatly benefitting Apple. anything spreading the name and reputation of unix around is also benefitial to them. they're practically allies. 06/24/2003-9:02am | ||
| im sure there are, but in american society the burden is placed on the male to seek out a female, not the other way around. So you dont have to be as socally outgoing as a guy would. You can take the shyest girl in the world out, and if she's cute, guys are going to hit on her, without her having to do a thing.
